In the mid-90’s, Mike Pilavachi and his team in the UK were inspired by God to lead a ministry that would give youth and 20s a renewed vision of Jesus Christ. Soul Survivor has now been ministering in the UK for over a decade, impacting thousands of people for the gospel with the passion and action of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. Soul Survivor is now in action in Holland, South Africa, Canada, USA, Malaysia, New Zealand and here in Australia (Victoria and New South Wales/ACT).

Soul NSW/ACT was born out of a passion and need to provide a base for what we called ‘middle-ground’ practice of worship, valuing intimacy with God, gifts of the Spirit and practical servant-evangelism.

In 2000, a small team from St Stephens Belrose and Holy Trinity Baulkham Hills held two nights of worship at Turramurra Uniting Church in Sydney with Mike Pilavachi. In 2001 we held our first conference at Northern Beaches School, Terrey Hills. In 2004 we stepped out in faith by appointing Matt as full-time Director of Soul Survivor NSW/ACT.

Soul Survivor in NSW/ACT is now a full-time ministry, run by a core team in Sydney complemented by local leadership teams in regional areas. Soul Survivor’s activities have been steadily growing, to now include regional events, servant evangelism projects and training in addition to the annual conference.
