In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus says there is one soil that is fruitful - a soul that remains open and perseveres. As we all know, it's easy for our faith to get choked out by distractions, worries, and the constant pull of the world around us. In Matthew 16:26 Jesus challenges us, saying “For what good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? We feel compelled to equip this generation of youth & young adults to prepare their souls to live from the good soil - open and persevering.

Over the last 12 months since our last Spring Appeal, we have seen the fruits of preparing the soil for young people to grow and flourish in Jesus.

Wow! The Soul Survivor 25th Conference was so special. Praise God! Being back where it all started 25 years ago at Northern Beaches Christian School was inspiring. Our theme this year was Word, Spirit & Action. Young people made fresh decisions to follow Jesus!! The projects were at Hammond Care, Dalwood Homes, One Meal, Fisher Rd School, Yanganginook School, and Days for Girls. Our 25th Celebration was so meaningful, to celebrate 25 years of ministry! To have many past Soul Community members come along was very encouraging to our soul.

Our Young Adults retreat in August went so well in the new location at Shoalhaven. We had 130 young adults come from across greater Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Canberra, Dubbo, Melbourne, and more. We spent the weekend worshipping Jesus, in fellowship, prayer, and ministry and explored how to discern with Jesus led by Matt Destry. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!

We are so excited about the next 12 months to prepare ‘good soil’ moments for youth & young adults. We are going to try two ‘YA Mini Retreats’ which are about making space to spend time with God, nurturing the soul. We are about to release our new Soul Survivor worship album ‘Simply Jesus’. With all of our upcoming events into 2026, April Conference and August YA Retreat, we are focused on equipping this generation’s soul with Jesus.

Our Spring Appeal requires $60,000 to resource our next season of preparing the soul.
