We are excited to retreat together this August down the South Coast at Shoalhaven River.

Come away with us for a weekend of worship, teaching, prayer ministry and making new friends. We are excited to have the opportunity to soak up God’s beautiful creation with river walks, campfires and to spend time receiving from Him.

program overview

friday. After work, start the roadtrip to the South Coast, grab dinner on the way and we’ll kick off the retreat (8pm) with a fun trivia night, followed by supper, bonfire and worship session. 
saturday. A full day where we share in worship, bible reflections, guided quiet times, free time, prayer ministry, small group discussions, adventures, food and of course sweet fellowship. 
sunday. Solid breakkie, more worship, reflections, quiet times and communion, all finishing up before lunch (12pm). You can spend the afternoon exploring the South Coast or heading back home to get your washing done for the week.

accommodation

If you're sleeping on site, you will have a bed allocated to you along with a group of fantastic guys or gals! Gals in gals rooms and guys in guys rooms. You know the drill.

Also, this year…each bedroom has it’s own ensuite!

catering

All meals will be provided. Youthworks will be providing some delicious home-cooked meals for us! For those that are asking the coffee question, no doubt, there will be real coffee provided brought to you by some legendary baristas.

Tom & Anna Field || Wellington, New Zealand.

Tom & Anna are friends of ours. Tom used to lead worship with Soul Survivor UK and visited our Conferences ‘back in the day.’ Tom & Anna spoke at our April Conference in 2023. They welcomed their first child - Jones, last year!! Yay! During the week they are part of a house church in Wellington, NZ. Tom is a carpenter and Anna teaches in a school. They also co-founded a worship ministry called Souvenirs. We are so excited they can come to lead the teaching at YA Retreat this August! 🙌🏻

what do i need to bring?

Bible & journal, bedding (sleeping bag or sheets/blanket & pillow), towel & toiletries, clothes for warm days and cool nights, shoes for walking or outdoor activities, water bottle, sunscreen & insect repellent and any medications you need

I can't make it the whole weekend, can I still come?

absolutely! there are multiple part-time tickets available to cater for whenever you need to arrive or leave.

what's the best way for me to get to and from retreat?

there's onsite parking, so you can drive or grab some mates and carpool. there's also a train, and we can arrange to pick you up from the station. if you need a hand arranging transport, please be in touch!

what does a day on retreat look like?

over the Saturday and Sunday of retreat, we'll enjoy hearty meals together (as well as morning tea, afternoon tea and supper!), sessions of teaching and worship, small groups, times of personal reflection, chances to relax and hang out together as well as time to just be a community by the fire.

will there be coffee and tea?

well of course! we will have plenty of hot beverages, including barista-made coffee, available all the time.

what kind of accommodation is it?

we’ll be staying in 6 to 8 bed rooms, each with its own ensuite. rooms will be separated by gender.
