'There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.’  Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

Every year, the Board and Director discern the future direction of Soul Survivor. Over the years, this discernment has led us to share the gospel in Word, Spirit & Action with communities in Coffs Harbour, Goulburn, to seven towns with SoulintheBush, to Canberra, the Central Coast and returning to where it all began at Northern Beaches Christian School. Over the last few months, we have entered an intentional time of prayer, Bible reading and deep reflection to discern our future. Through this process, we have reached a clear decision with God and one another.

Our Decision: The Board of Soul Survivor NSW, in consultation with the Director, have decided that the time has come to draw to a close our 26-year season of ministry and that this will be completed within this calendar year.

What Lies Ahead: 

YA Retreat: We are looking forward to our upcoming Young Adults Retreat as planned: 31st July - 2nd August.

A Celebration: We will host a special celebration in October for all of us to come with thanks to God and our community for this incredible 26-year adventure. More details to follow. 

We are all deeply grateful, sad and at peace with God in this decision. 

We are extremely grateful for the leadership of Matt Gelding, our Director, over these 26 years. We are also very grateful for the work of all the Staff and Board members both past and present, the amazing team of Soul volunteers, all the generous supporters and to all of the youth and young adults who have come and served in our gatherings over the 26 years. Gospel seeds have been scattered throughout NSW and beyond!

One of our past Board members said yesterday: “Continuing one season can mean missing out on what new season God has in store for us. In other words, not just an end but a new beginning. We need to encourage ourselves not to feel overly disappointed but to trust God has some new doors opening in the future.”

Thank you Soul Survivor Community! This mission in Word, Spirit & Action has been amazing. We hope you can join us in October to celebrate this season of ministry one last time. Let’s all look to God for His new adventures in the work of the gospel.
